At Mighty Bites Pediatric Dentistry in Newtown Square, PA, we believe every child deserves a dental experience that makes them smile—literally! Dr. Rich Clark, is your local children’s dentist who is passionate about helping kids feel comfortable and confident at the dentist. His goal? To create lifelong dental health fans by making every visit fun, easy, and stress-free for both kids and parents.
MEET DR. RICH CLARK
CHILDREN’S DENTIST IN NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA
Dr. Rich Clark grew up right in nearby Broomall, PA, and has always had a genuine gift for working with children. During high school and college, he coached a kids’ swim team for ages 5–18, discovering how much he loved helping young people grow in confidence – a passion that continues to shape his work as a pediatric dentist today.
A proud graduate of Bucknell University, Dr. Rich earned his degree in electrical engineering, graduating summa cum laude. Drawn to a field that combined science, problem-solving, and meaningful relationships with children and families, he shifted his path to dentistry – and never looked back.
He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and completed his pediatric dental residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. After residency, Dr. Rich joined the hospital faculty, where he served for nearly a decade as an attending dentist and Associate Program Director, eventually stepping into the role of Interim Department Chair during a period of transition. In that capacity, he guided the program through its CODA reaccreditation process, ensuring continued excellence in education and patient care.
Dr. Rich is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD) and continues to mentor pediatric dental residents as part of his ongoing commitment to the profession.
Today, he’s thrilled to bring his experience home to Newtown Square as the founder of Mighty Bites Pediatric Dentistry – a fun, family-centered practice focused on compassionate care and creating positive dental experiences for every child.
When he’s not in the office, Dr. Rich enjoys spending time with his wife and their four young children. Together, they love the beach, skiing, cheering on all the Philadelphia sports teams (go Eagles!), and tackling big jigsaw puzzles.
